Jim and Renata Bultema attended our church, married, and received a call from God into long-term overseas ministry. They moved to Turkey in 1990 where they have raised their three children. The Bultemas first served in Istanbul from 1990-1996 before relocating to Antalya on the southern Mediterranean coast. Antalya is where Paul travelled on his first trip in Acts
13, and the Bultemas are rekindling the gospel message in the region. The warm Turkish people and beautiful landscapes captivated their hearts. They delight in working for the good of Antalya and to the glory of God.
Jim and Renata founded the Saint Paul Cultural Center
(www.spccturkey.com) in the heart of the old city of Antalya. The center is home for multiple congregations and hosts conferences, seminars, daily fellowship, and other events for all ages. The center also features a cafe which has become a social gathering point.
They are leading in the establishment of a second center in western Antalya near the university. The Mozaik Cultural Center
(www.mozaikantalya.com) will host church gatherings, coworker office space, a fitness facility, the Center for Theological Development, and the Oral History Recording Center.
Bultemas also run Olive Grove, an international, Christ-centered
multicultural summer adventure camp for children 8-18. There are several short-term and long-term opportunities for others to serve at SPCC, MCC, and Olive Grove.
